I have always found his books informative , entertaining, and easy to digest. I am a 1370 USCF player, so I spend more time studying tactics than Openings. So when I do use my time to study these, I need the info to be percise, and not too overwhelming for a player of my ranking. An|About the Author|GM Andrew Soltis lives in New York, and is one of America's most popular authors, with many, many chess books under his belt. He is also a chess columnist for the New York times.
